Animation: Our students also learn about storytelling and the detailed and labor-intensive craft that is required to make a successful animation. Moreover, key concepts and techniques, such as design, lighting, modeling, surfacing, visual effect, life drawing, pre-visualization, etc. are taught in this wonderful camp. Our instructors will normally lead students to first write a short storyboard for the animation, decide on the type of material used for the animation and finally use stop motion techniques to make the final artistic product. We do respect our students’ styles in developing animation in this camp and also show them that any concept they are willing to develop can be made perfect in different ways.
Photography/Filmmaking: We help our students in this photography/filmmaking camp to use their cameras to take perfect visuals. The CCSA provides a digital camera for each student to use during the camp; however, students are also welcome to bring their own camera if they want.. Weather permitting field trips in the neighborhood during this camp provide opportunities for children to see their immediate surroundings in a new light and use their cameras as a framing and compositional device. Moreover, studio based practices in this wonderful camp will focus on portrait, figure studies and still life photography.
