Crimson Research Institute (CRI) is an elite, online academic research program for innovative and driven high school students. With guidance from PhD mentors and university faculty in the US and UK, CRI students choose a topic they’re interested in and complete an undergraduate-level research project.
Students and families can choose between three uniquely designed programs: Explorer, Researcher, and Innovator.
CRI's Explorer Program includes a research foundations course, a university-level seminar in your academic area of choice, and 5 hours of one-on-one guidance with an expert mentor to create a Literature Review or a Book Review. The Explorer Program is available in two formats: group or individual. The duration of the program is between 12-16 weeks.
The Researcher Program will challenge students to complete a full research project using secondary data. Students will formulate a question, choose methods, find sources, test their hypothesis, and analyze evidence, all with the support of your CRI mentor. Mentors will also assess the student's final paper. This program can be delivered in a group or individual setting during a 16-25 week period.
Finally, the Innovator Program is the most in-depth research program for highly motivated students. Students will work with their mentor to write a research paper featuring original data - conducted individually through experimentation, data collection, and analysis - and receive personalized publication strategy support. The Innovator Program is available can be delivered in a group or individual setting over the course of 6-18 months.
