This program is designed to build the following character traits:

  • Responsibility: Theatre helps children foster their inner talents, while building their skills including; singing, moving, art, production and set design. It also teaches them to be responsible to work independently and communicate as part of a team.
  • Interpersonal skills: Theatre offers children the ability to develop their understanding of various types of characters and people as well as the emotions and behaviours they portray on stage. It teaches them to compromise, listen and build their communication & leadership skills.

Musical Theatre Ensemble is for anyone who loves to sing, move and act! This is our triple threat class. Students will work as an ensemble to learn music and choreography to a wide range of age-appropriate musical production numbers from Broadway shows. Building on the fundamentals of singing, moving, and acting, students will develop an understanding of choreography, reading sheet music, vocal production, and creating dynamic characters within the ensemble.

This class will participate in the end of term Friends and Family Showcase.
