This camp is designed to build the following character traits:

  • Interpersonal skills: The Bright Lights in the Lab program encourages students to collaborate with peers from different grades and schools in their week-long research project.
  • Creativity: The Bright Lights in the Lab program provides students with resources to explore their curiosities in neuroscience. Students move beyond prescribed experiments from high school and design their own experiments in the field of neuroscience with the help of the electroencephalogram headset.

This camp is for students going into Grades 9 to 11 (as of September 2023). 

BRIGHT LIGHTS IN THE LAB OFFER HANDS-ON RESEARCH AND LEARNING EXPERIENCE OF HOW OUR BRAINS WORK. CAMPERS EXPLORE TOPICS SUCH AS NEUROLOGICAL DISORDERS AND DISEASES, MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING WHILE ANALYZING THEIR OWN BRAIN WAVES WITH AN ELECTROENCEPHALOGRAM HEADSET. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN NEUROSCIENCE OR WANT TO LEARN AND CREATE A DEEPER APPRECIATION OF YOUR BRAIN, THEN THIS CAMP IS FOR YOU.
