Chess Girl Beginners

If your child has never played chess or has been introduced to the game and is not certain how each piece moves, Chess for Beginners is the perfect place to start.

In our 6-class introduction sessions, we will teach your girl about the chessboard, how to identify the squares through the files and ranks, the pieces and their values and how each piece moves. This class prepares the student for our next set of classes, Course 1, where they will then learn how to play chess online with others. 

In addition to chess, we also teach every girl to be confident, resilient and determined, ready to take on the world of tomorrow! We help girls understand what they’re actually up against and we teach them everything they need to thrive, own their power and bring down the systems that attempt to undermine them. We will not lose yet another generation of girls in STEM to the patriarchy.
