Dangerous Sea Animals
Humans and sea animals are different in many ways. For example, an octopus does not have a skeleton as humans do. Instead, their bodies consist of muscle fibers. Another difference between humans and sea animals is that humans have arms and legs and sea animals have tentacles. An octopus even has the ability to regenerate a new tentacle if it loses one. In contrast, if a human loses his arm or leg he will not automatically grow a new one.
Some popular sea animals are sea turtles and jellyfish. When Jellyfish gather in a large group they are called a “bloom”. This is because when they gather together they look like a bunch of flowers. However, some jellyfish are extremely deadly and can cause severe reactions in humans, and even death. The box jellyfish is considered to be the most dangerous jellyfish in the world. The liquid venom that jellyfish sting with is what makes them so dangerous.
An enemy of the jellyfish is the sea turtle. The Leatherback sea turtle feeds exclusively on jellyfish. For those of you who always view turtles as quiet and shy, this fact may come as a surprise. Many of us visit the ocean for meditation and silence, but we should be aware of the dangers that lie beneath the ocean’s surface.
The First Apple Computer
Do you have a “Mac” computer or an “iPhone”? Both of these products are available from Apple stores and are made by the Apple company. But who made the first Apple computer?
The Apple computer was created by a computer scientist and inventor named Steve Wozniak. He created the first Apple computer in 1976! Steve Jobs, his partner, took care of the smooth, nice appearance of the computer. The first Apple computer did not do much. Jobs and Wozniak struggled for years, making their computer better, and introducing people to computers for the first time.
Since those early days, Apple’s popularity has soared. Now it is a gigantic company, and people all over the world covet the laptops and phones that the company makes. Every year, people line up outside of Apple stores to be the first ones to own the newest iPhone. For years, Apple has remained on the top in the list of big technology companies.
