This camp is designed to build the following character traits:
Self-regulation: The most important skill to have in comedy is timing. It's good to know when to take a step back and when to take center stage.
Interpersonal skills: An important skill that comedy teaches is respect for both yourself and others. Positive and healthy humor are great tools in learning how to effectively communicate and cooperate.
Industry comedian coaches use a range of comedy and humorous activities to teach stand-up, sketch and improv comedy skills to help youth find their unique comedic voices by exploring self-expression through personal stories. The program culminates in a Showcase where the campers make their stand- up comedy debut!
