Throughout each 1.5 hour Hare class, your child will be having fun and developing in their knowledge and application of English. Little Mountain Learning Academy’s Young High Achievers are already highly motivated and aspiring young learners. They are young, primary students who demonstrate proficiency in English communication and literacy skills. These students pursue extra academic activities to ensure they are constantly challenged and engaged in learning. Through learning in this stream, students will become responsible and independent learners and hone their English skills.
Learning Objectives
Hare students at Little Mountain Learning Academy will:
• Explore deeper learning
• Build critical thinking skills
• Begin to develop strong research skills
• Ask insightful and thoughtful questions
• Develop awareness of global issues
• Begin to analyze and critique fiction
• Design and write their own fiction and nonfiction texts
• Learn the basic skills and purposes of writing
• Develop accuracy in spelling, punctuation, and grammar

Academic Reading and Writing for Grade 1-3
Read fiction and non-fiction books for vocabulary and understanding. Write sentences and paragraphs in a range of formats.
