November 2017 - 2 schools
November 2019 - 42 schools / daycares
Thanks to the many parents, principals, vice principals, teachers, happy students and our course, our passionate team of coding instructors and admins, for helping to fuel Codezilla's fast growth over the last two years!
What's the driver behind Codezilla's 2000% growth? It's been parent requests and referrals, and more recently, teacher enquiries for their classrooms, as well as teachers referring Codezilla to fellow teachers at other schools.
What STEM and coding classes have parents and schools been requesting? Our two most popular classes are:
Game Makers - Level 1-5 (Gr 2-8)
Students code an interactive project or video game using Scratch, a kid-friendly programming language created by MIT (think 'LEGO meets Powerpoint'). Kids learn the elements of a great video game (structure, characters, graphics, sound) and enjoy customizing the elements to create a dynamic animation or game. Importantly, kids are introduced to real coding terms such as sequence, patterns, algorithms and loops. This #1 selling course promotes constructive screen time along with personal expression and creativity.

Tech Toys Code + Play (K-Gr3)
Whether playing a digital piano with Play-Doh or programming a hand-held robot with different coloured markers, students enjoy a variety of educational and award-winning toys that promote early computational thinking (pre-coding) and STEM. Many toys are screen-free. All toys encourage imagination, problem-solving and team work in a play-based environment. We like to describe our toys are 'Classic toys with a 21st Century twist'. Codezilla offers a diverse range of tech toys; we are ecstatic to see how many teachers order our toys after a class!
