We've been working tirelessly to make this summer better than ever. This means some changes to the structure and programming you and your child have come to love at RTS. Some of our improvements are outlined below:
- The new higher counsellor to camper ratio will ensure your child has the support and attention they need.
- This summer our Triple Threats will get to explore the topsy-turvy world of Alice in Wonderland Jr.! If you haven't joined us before for Musical Theatre Performance Camp (ages 6-12) consider checking out this extravaganza. Runs July 4-23.
- By popular demand, Create an Ensemble (ages 6-12) will be run twice this summer! Consider joining us for both sessions for a full month of dramatic play. Session A runs July 25-August 5, Session B will be August 8-19.
- Teen Acting Academy (ages 13-18) can now be enjoyed in a powerful 2 week session, or as a full 4 week immersive experience. It's a great opportunity for teens to hone their skills, and find out what a life of theatre is all about. Session A runs July 25-August 6, Session B will be August 8-20.
- RTS Summer Camps is proud to announce that we are working towards accreditation through the Ontario Camps Association. This regulatory body offers great guidelines of operations which we have been following for several years. Now we're working to make it official. Along with the 3 RTS Summer Programs you have come to know and love, we also have 2 new programs this summer:
- PLAYFUL PLAYERS - ages 4-5. Now our youngest thespians will have programming tailored to their unique needs. Higher staff-student ratios, frequent changes in activities, crafts and more games than ever before. The 3 sessions of the Playful Players will run alongside Musical Performance Camp and Create an Ensemble, culminating in a final performance all together. A perfect way to welcome in the next generation of RTS Summer Stars. Musical Session: July 4-23, Session A: July 25-August 5, Session B: August 8-20
- ADULT SUMMER ACTING INTENSIVE - ages 19+. We are so excited to now be offering a week of "Summer Camp" for adults! This program offers an enriching experience for both seasoned actors and those new to the stage. You've heard about how much fun we have from your child, consider joining us for a week for yourself.
