Another great thing about Humber Arboretum Nature Camps is our home base the Centre for Urban Ecology! Officially Toronto's 1st LEED Gold Certified building this facility is a great example of how a building can be both environmentally friendly and aesthetically pleasing at the same time.

To date the Centre for Urban Ecology is also the only outdoor education centre in the province that has certified Platinum since the Ontario EcoCentres certification program began. This just goes to show that even when your child is not outside exploring the many ecosystems of the Humber Arboretum, they are still inside a building that has many important lessons to teach!
