We had an amazing End of Season Spring Water Show on Wednesday, May 29, where our athletes had an opportunity to showcase their competitive routines from the 2018/2019 season for their family and friends. We had over 150 athletes participate from our youngest Under 8 teams up to our Masters team that had athletes swimming into their 80's; these athletes represented Novice, Provincial and National Stream athletes. We really promote our sport as a "sport for life".
Also, this has been an exciting year as it is our 40th Anniversary as a club. Our entire club put on a fantastic finale routine where they recreated an iconic Olympium "Synchro Cats" routine, which won the Canadian National Championships in 1990! Our current High Performance and Competitive athletes enjoyed learning moves from this fun routine! The course of Synchronized Swimming has changed a lot in 30-40 years.
Our club has two Water Shows per season - one at Christmas and one in the Spring. All teams participate, including our youngest Rec swimmers. They are really great events to celebrate the great accomplishments of our teams.
