Intermediate Athletics Leadership

Intermediate Athletics Leadership harnesses the spirit of sport, physical activity, and recreation to help  students realize their  leadership potential.  This course will inspire students to believe in themselves and to make a difference in their classrooms, school and communities.  The Intermediate Athletics Leadership course has a focus on developing students’ leadership skills through the medium of athletics. The ideal candidate is one who has demonstrated leadership potential or is eager to develop his or her emergent leadership skills. The course program is divided into three major areas: Leadership Development sessions; Focus Groups and Activity Sessions. Practical application of such a framework includes intramural programming; school-wide activity days, spirit day functions and programming; school and community student/athletic councils; and orientation days, to name but a few. Following successful course completion the student will have the skills to be successful in coordinating and facilitating any of the above leadership opportunities.

COURSE DATES: July 17-23, 2022, July 31-August 6, 2022, and August 14-20, 2022

COURSE FEES: $904 + HST (Includes uniform).  Installment payments are available until May 1, 2022.

EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT: $854 + HST, Register by December 17, 2021.

BURSARIES: As a not-for-profit, charitable organization serving youth from Ontario’s schools, we are committed to reaching out to all of the diverse communities in the province and supporting the participation of students who might not able to attend without financial assistance.  As such, any financial support is targeted to those students who truly are in need and/or schools who are in priority neighbourhoods.  Please email [email protected] to request a bursary form for your teacher to fill out on your behalf.  Completed forms are emailed by your teacher to [email protected]
