Join other Indigenous identifying youth for a 7-day wilderness expedition through the jaw-dropping scenery of the Temagami region. Home to some of the last remaining old-growth forests in Ontario as well as the oldest mountains in North America, this area has over 4,000 km of canoe routes and has been home to the Anishinabeg people for centuries.
Designed specifically for Indigenous youth, aged 14-16, this course aims to provide a supportive space in which to explore issues such as individuality and diversity, alongside an authentic wilderness experience that will arm participants with both technical and personal skills that can be taken back to their own communities, schools and workplaces. Discover how to make powerful choices that lead to success, how to overcome challenges, and learn what you are capable of.
