Do you want to escape into nature for a week?
This 7-day expedition is a gateway to explore the wilderness with a group of fellow teens. Learn how to paddle a canoe or refine your skills as you make new friends and go on an exciting adventure. Whether you are experienced or new to the outdoors, this course will help you push your limits to be stronger than ever before.
AREA & ACTIVITIES
Algonquin Park is located within the traditional territories of the Omàmìwininìwag and Anishinabewaki Peoples. Your group will travel along ancient canoe routes surrounded by maple-covered hills and rocky ridges.
You will navigate flatwater in a canoe, learning the strokes and rescue techniques along the way. Everything you need for the expedition will be brought with you. The skills developed on the journey include paddling strokes, map reading and navigation, camp skills, Leave No Trace, and teamwork and leadership. This route may include portages where you will need to work as a team to carry your equipment.
