Drawing Hands Workshop Series

This series of workshops is specifically designed for students applying to Sheridan Animation or other art colleges and is part of PortPrep's 5 Day Live/Virtual Hybrid Animation Portfolio Summer Camp. Drawing the human hand can be challenging, even for experienced artists! If you would like to improve your drawings or hands or are working on your art portfolio for college applications, then sign up for this series of workshops. The workshops take you in sequential steps from learning how to set up accurate proportions using simple geometric forms to understanding the anatomy of the hand. You'll learn how to capture the hand in an action and draw it with lively and expressive line-work. 

Workshop: Drawing Hands 1 – Geometric Structure & Proportion

Instructor: Special Guest Anatomy Professor Werner Zimmermann (Former Sheridan, current Seneca Animation faculty)

Description: Prepare to be amazed both by Werner’s knowledge and mastery of drawing hands and by how much your drawings will improve after just one lesson! Take the guess work out of drawing hands by learning about the anatomical structure from a real pro! Werner is an award winning illustrator and superb drawing professor specialized in teaching the anatomy of the human body. You'll see how combining knowledge with observation can make much stronger drawings with increased confidence.
