If you love drawing people and want to learn how to develop stronger figure drawing skills, this series of workshops will provide with a great foundation to build upon! This series of workshops is specifically designed for students who hope to study either animation or illustration in art college. Visiting professors from Sheridan and Seneca Animation are among the outstanding instructors of this series of workshops that are part of PortPrep's Animation Portfolio Summer Camp, You can sign up for one or both workshops at various levels to suit your budget and schedule. 

Workshop: Figure Drawing 1 – Sheridan Insights Into Figure Drawing

Instructor: Special Guest Anatomy Professor Mark Thurman (Sheridan Animation Faculty)

Model: Live Streamed Male Figure Model

Description: Get a solid introduction to sound figure drawing methodology with a renowned figure drawing professor from Sheridan College. This is a rare opportunity to study with a real pro! Gain insights into the approach that the Animation Program takes towards figure drawing. Learn methods to draw the model accurately in good proportion with an awareness of anatomical structure.  Put your newfound knowledge to test with the online live model. Note that the model will be modelling unclothed in tasteful poses designed to build your understanding of anatomy and the type of figure drawing suitable to put in your animation portfolio.

Workshop: Figure Drawing 2 – Anatomy and Landmarks

Instructor: Special Guest Anatomy Prof Werner Zimmermann (Form Sheridan, Current Seneca Animation faculty)

Model: Live model, photo reference, skeleton and skeleton diagrams

Date: Fri Aug 19, 10 AM to 5 PM EDT

Description: Be inspired and amazed by Werner’s knowledge of human anatomy while you learn about the structure of the human body that gives it the outer form you see. Build your understanding of anatomy to inform your figure drawing and become familiar with important "landmarks" on the body.
