Global Leadership Academy Canada

We know that all youth are powerful. However, they often lack the leadership skills and confidence necessary to be effective leaders of their own future success. Participants develop these skills during our award-winning program in a supportive, international environment through an experiential learning approach that prioritizes hands-on learning, personalized attention, and community building. The Global Leadership Academy is an opportunity for teens from around the world to come together and develop valuable skills so they can create the future they want to see for themselves and others!

The program is packed with hands-on activities, team challenges, fascinating field trips, breathtaking outdoor activities, inspirational guest speakers, and new experiences in Victoria (and across Vancouver Island) in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. The program tuition includes all accommodation, meals, program materials, and activity costs as well as health insurance and airport pick-up/drop-off. We also include 6 months of post-program coaching online to ensure youth continue the personal development they committed to during the program.

Age-based curriculums

We offer two unique curriculums in order to engage participants of different ages. As we run programs with both age groups on the same campus concurrently, there are many activities where we bring all participants together as well. 

Junior GLA (ages 12-14): Using a design thinking approach, youth in this program will focus on developing critical thinking abilities, increasing their leadership capacity by improving their communication and collaboration skills, and gaining the confidence to work towards their goals. Core projects are designed to teach creative problem-solving and to guide participants in thinking about their strengths, weaknesses, and goals as they begin their leadership journeys.  

Senior GLA (ages 15-18): Youth in this program will work towards developing their leadership skills so they can enact real positive change! Community service and group service projects help participants gain the skills, experience, and confidence to be leaders, and then they will have the opportunity to develop and present their own leadership projects to put into action in their community once they return home.

How long would you like to spend with us this summer?

GLA: Our award-winning 2-week leadership program is held at Brookes Westshore in Victoria, Canada, and includes local day trips and exploring.

GLA + Best of BC Tour: This 3-week package is designed for our participants visiting British Columbia, Canada for the first time! Combine 2-week GLA with extra time spent with your new friends exploring the region more deeply, visiting local universities, and seeing top tourist attractions. Includes 3 nights in Vancouver!
