Virtual Cooking Classes with Rooks to Cooks! Now offering two groundbreaking programs: Brilliant Bakers, and Foods of the World. These courses are inspired by REAL Ontario curriculum guidelines to help your child learn hands-on cooking and baking skills, while socializing with new friends AND secretly applying academic knowledge while schools are closed. Classes are fun and delicious and sure to engage your children’s minds and their appetites! Don’t miss out, only 8 spots per class!  Ideal for ages 10 and up; For children 9 and under we recommend some parental supervision. Cost: $100 for 4 classes/once per week during the month of June. 

VARIOUS TIME SLOTS available as follows: 11:00 - 12:30 pm; or 1:00 - 2:30 pm; or 3:00 - 4:30 pm.

All of these programs will be offered through Zoom where attendees will have the opportunity to learn from our Chefs and interact with their peers in a live virtual classroom.

Registration Required:

Recipes have been carefully selected to ensure ingredients are inexpensive, accessible and are easily substitutable. All recipes have vegetarian alternatives. 

Foods of the World 1.0 (Fridays June 5 to June 26) AND Foods of the World 2.0 (Tuesdays June 2 to June 23)This course is designed to teach our students fundamental life and cooking skills while introducing them to new foods and flavours from around the world. Together we will explore 4 different cultures and cuisines, and learn more about the history and geography which has contributed to the recipes they create.

Brilliant Bakers 1.0 (Fridays June 5 to June 26) AND Brilliant Bakers 2.0 (Mondays June 1 to June 22 OR Wednesdays June 2 to June 24): This hands-on baking course will not only equip your child with industry tested pastry knowledge and skills, they will also gain real world applications of mathematics and numeracy! Along with the teaching of 4 fantastic pastry recipes, we’ll practice and apply mental math, fractions, portions and measurements in the most delicious of ways. Your little chefs won’t even know they’re learning!
