Rooks to Cooks is is pleased to release our newest and most innovative program to date, Summer Sweets! While being the BEST gluten-free and vegan pastry course of its kind, Summer Sweets teaches various baking techniques and theoretical pastry knowledge, all while debunking any myths that gluten-free and vegan baking is inferior (spoiler alert, they’re NOT!).

Character Development:

  • Independence: Children will learn different cooking skills and recipes, and how to safely navigate a kitchen. Our chef instructors know the benefits of learning to cook and are extremely passionate about sharing their knowledge so children can feel confident and gain independence in their kitchen at home.
  • Responsibility: Learning to cook and helping in the kitchen at home helps children learn about responsibility. Being part of the family unit by contributing to the meal prep is important for children to feel connected and they can also enjoy a healthy home-cooked meal.
