This program is designed to build the following character traits:

  • Independence: Singing in a choir not only develops team building skills, but also independence. Students need to take responsibility to learn their part individually, and sing out strong. To take leadership in their voicing and help the group as a whole.
  • Courage: Coordinating your body while you're singing is a tricky task. It takes courage to try the hard things, repeatedly. Show Choir seeks to enrich social confidence as the group explores movement and singing simultaneously together.

JUNIOR SHOW CHOIR : Thursdays 6:00-7:15pm : Participants aged 9-12 years old will receive basic training in vocal technique, sound production, and choreography. This course will also focus on sight reading skills, music literacy and building harmonies. 

SENIOR SHOW CHOIR : Thursdays 7:30-9:00pm : Participants aged 13 years and older will expand their musical literacy, and vocal technique in this course. They will also receive more advanced choreography and song selection, while learning more advance theory.
