SLMC Out Trips

We offer both hiking and canoe trips through out the summer.  Trips range from 2 nights to 7 nights depending on age and experience.  Some locations of trips are Saugeen River, Massassauga Provincial Park, Bruce Trail and the French River.  Each trip progresses your out tripping skills and confidence.  Campers will spend the first day or two at camp learning out tripping skills, connecting and preparing for the trip.  They will then head out on their trip from camp where they will sleep in tents, cook over a camp stove or fire, swim, laugh, explore and carry their items on their back or in the canoe.  After their trip they will return to camp to finish the week unpacking, debriefing and participating in camp activities like banquet and campfire.  Silver Lake trips will have staff that are experienced in back country trips, first aid and lifeguarding certificates.
