The Stanstead College Hockey Skills Development Camp is an intensive program designed to challenge players mentally and physically. The camp is run under the direction and vision of world-class athlete and two-time Olympic gold medalist Sarah Vaillancourt, who knows what is expected to make it to the next level. Her sessions are high intensity, with lots of feedback and correction. The camp has welcomed many high level players who have gone on to play at the collegiate, professional and national level over the years.

A graduate of psychology at Harvard University, she was named the Ivy League Player of the Year in 2008 and ECAC Hockey Player of the Year in 2009. In 2011, she was named MVP at the Clarkson Cup as a member of the Montreal Stars. Our On-Ice Training is geared towards individual player skill development. Players improve on all the skills that make a complete player. Sarah Vaillancourt’s experience as a player and coach allows her to break down and teach specific individual skills that players need in order to play at the next level. Some of the main skills that will in worked on throughout the week are; Skating, Shooting, Stick Skills, Body Contact and Battling.  Our Off-Ice Training Program is designed to enhance and improve the players’ on-ice performance through; Speed and Agility, Plyometric exercises, Functional Lifting and Mobility Work. We want players to leave the camp with a solid and safe foundation of off-ice training that will help them reach their full potential. In addition to the hockey-specific off-ice training players will take part in different seminars throughout the week given by professionals in each field.
