Hospitality, also known as the art of welcoming guests, is today’s fastest globally growing industry. It opens a great number of career opportunities around the world. To succeed in this domain, you will need leadership abilities, entrepreneurship and excellent communication skills.
Course outline
All classes are taught in English and include interactive, hands on activities. You will have the opportunity to work on both individual and group projects. Our teachers are lecturers from Swiss Education Group schools or industry experts who love coming to share their knowledge and experience. Class size is of an average of 20 students.
This week gives a broad overview of the World of Hospitality, how the industry works, and how it is structured. You will be taught how to identify and explore trends, understand potential clients, and gain insights into how COVID-19 has shaped the global hospitality industry. The brand identity and positioning of hotel and restaurant chains will be explored to give a better understanding of the important role this plays in a brand’s success. Through engagement and interaction with our skilled teachers and industry experts, students will be given the opportunity to improve their verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
If you dream of organizing a large-scale unique event, being able to think creatively, and having a thorough knowledge of the events industry, you will love this week. Our team of outstanding industry experts will cover all you need to know to plan an event from beginning to end, including choosing the right location, spotting trends, determining budgets, identifying stakeholders and partnerships, formulating a marketing plan, and managing logistics.
During this challenging and exciting week the focus is on learning more about yourself and your character strengths, and what it takes to be an entrepreneur and leader. You will undertake personality tests, and participate in communication workshops, public speaking activities, and group projects. Students will be taught strategic thinking skills, along with the ability to identify the differences between a leader and a manager, and be given an understanding of management structures. At the end of this intensive week you will be able to create your own basic business plan for any future venture.
Our afternoon activities are dedicated to fun and entertaining ways of discovering our part of Switzerland and good times with friends
