This program is designed to build the following character traits:

  • Curiosity: Students expand their curiosity by learning about the possibilities of coding and robotics
  • Creativity: Students build hands-on projects to expand their creativity

Dive deeper into the world of robotics by transitioning to text-based programming (Python) and building more sophisticated electronics projects like automated plant watering systems and self-driving vehicles. 

In Intro to Coding & Robotics SR, students will learn how to build more sophisticated machines powered by the Micro:Bit microcomputer and the MakeCode program. They will begin to learn how to translate block code into Python and use it to program more advanced robotics extensions like ultrasonic distance sensors, soil moisture sensors, and more!
