This program is focused on building your ‘hardskills’ with an Adventure Education lens where you will begin to think, discuss and reflect about your experiences in our many program areas at Geneva Park. They will also camp out on a 2 day ‘Practice Journey’ and then plan for the 4-day ‘Qualifying Journey’ canoe trip. This achieves the Duke of Edinburgh’s Adventurous Journey at the Silver Award Level. The ‘Silver’focus is on the ‘What’ component of an Adventure-Based Learning (ABL) Program where we unpack what the experience means in reality and help prepare you for future leadership in adventure programming. Building knowledge and skills in land, water and challenge-based activity areas will culminate in a reflective ‘duet’ campout experience that will focus on action and reflection.
