One of the best ways to foster creativity is through illustration and design with hands-on projects. In this program for kids, aged 7-9, we will get to make our own storybook, stickers, and short animations while learning about different creative tools and principles.
STUDENTS WILL LEARN
-Learn how to provide and accept feedback regarding their work and to work in a team.
-Protagonist, antagonist, plot, and more!
-Exaggeration of characters, their shapes, gesture, and mood are critical fundamentals of character design
-Gesture drawing, creative shapes, and adding volume.
-Mood boards & Typography are important for the setting, color pallet, and mood of a piece and can help guide design decisions
Students will also learn about the 12 principles of animation and create their own using claymation, storyboarding, and stop motion.
No prior experience is needed to join and all are welcome!
