Newton’s Grove began its life in 1977 as the first private school in Mississauga, known then as Mississauga Private School. It soon moved to Etobicoke, though returned to Mississauga in 2015, moving into its permanent location in 2017. The moves are symptomatic of the school’s growth, based in a growing reputation for its academics coupled with a robust athletic program. Values, too, are a draw, with a dedication to promoting respect and responsibility throughout the curricular areas. LIA’s initiative on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) includes an integrated, interdisciplinary series of programs that provides students the opportunity to explore advanced technology fields at the high-school level.
