Go to child profileCaST, City-as-School Toronto, is a progressive Day School with a unique hybrid online component due to Covid-19. Our blended environment of online morning classes and afternoon, in-person learning maximizes the use of place-based learning opportunities—in art museums, university lecture halls, libraries, community centres, parks and our classrooms—with the ability of going fully online if circumstances warrant. Safety and exciting academic challenge blend seamlessly for great teaching and learning.
What learning looks like now: In addition to a variety of indoor and outdoor locations associated with specific curriculums used by our teachers, CaST School uses three permanent and active learning sites, each of which have very strict entry and exit Covid-19 protocols, together with the requisite mask wearing and social distancing mandated by Toronto Health. As a small school, we can initiate communications with students, teachers and parents very quickly in response to any Covid-19 related matter, and remain up-to-date and vigilant about all matters related to education and the pandemic. Any further information about our Covid-19 policies can easily be secured from us with a phone call or email.
