Will we be able to get more information from the school's reps? Could we also talk with other current parents that are already enrolled? Do we get a schedule of the school's daily activities/reports annually or semi-annually? Do our children(s) get assistance with homework? Do they need to be potty trained? Do they get nap times?
Attending any of the upcoming Private School Expos this fall is an excellent opportunity to sit in on information seminars and speak with schools face to face and ask questions, including speaking with school representatives and current students. You may also request to speak to some of the parents as well, per the discretion and facilitation of the school.
Yes, the schools of your choice should be able to provide an outline of the school’s daily activities - private schools generally have very involved communities with their parents and often have programs in place to keep parents consistently engaged in their child’s school life. Many schools also provide before and after school programs to help students with homework and offer additional support.
Depending on the school, your child may need to be potty trained and they may also offer nap times. It’s a good idea to the contact the schools directly to inquire about these services and any other questions you may have; you can also arrange to take a tour of the school to get a better idea of their daily operations, activities and what they have to offer.
At the private school Expos specifically you can ask the schools all of these questions as well as any others you may have :)

The reason for considering the option of private school for my 12 year old daughter is due to very low grades. However, I am aware that many of the private schools requires the child to complete an assessment. If the results are low will this reduce the number of schools entry acceptance?
