Question and Answers

How much is the tuition for private school?

Expert Answer

The cost of tuition varies greatly in Canada depending on many factors, including location, academic program, staffing ratios, facilities and amenities. There are small private and independent schools that cost less than $4,000 a year and boarding schools that peak in the $40,000 ranges, with many choices in between. Nearly half of the students enrolled in private and independent schools in Canada are from middle-income families that have found and funded private education that's a fit for their children and the family's financial means.

For many families, even $4000 a year seems impossible. But when you take into account the money saved on childcare and extracurricular lessons, it makes more sense.
