The teachers at March Academy understand that children learn in different and unique ways. The beauty of a small school and small class sizes, is the the teacher has the time to offer the kind of instruction that your child requires. Not only do they teach so the child understands, but they empower the children to be their own self-advocates so they can become successful independent learners. This prepares them for their future learning experiences and sets them up for success. Frequent check-ins and meetings with parents, teachers and students allows everyone to be on the same page for learning goals. The student themselves, creates their own goals and lays out the steps required of them to achieve these goals. The students gain a great deal of confidence when they take charge of their own learning.

The teaching at March Academy goes above and beyond my expectations. My child has an Individualized Education Plan and has worked closely with the teachers. My son has difficulty with processing information. He needs to take his time with listening to fully comprehend what is being asked of him. The teachers are patient and helpful. They work with him to ensure he understands the lesson being taught, and what is expected of him. The teachers are knowledgeable and comprehend the needs of the child. The art work the children bring home is beautiful. They use a variety of materials. My son has had poor fine motor coordination skills, however, you would never be able to tell by the beautiful paintings and detail of the art work.

The teaching at March Academy is top notch! I wish every teacher in the various school boards could have the years of experience and the additional training that these ladies have. Specializing in Learning Resources provides an amazing insight in to how a child learns best. The teachers are flexible and adapt to each individual's needs. You simply do not receive that type of time and effort investment, per child, in the regular system. My son has simply flourished. I used to be constantly told how far behind he was in the regular system and under the encouragement and patience at March he is at his grade level in all subjects. How refreshing it was to attend a parent-teacher interview and to hear positive things. I honestly almost broke down in tears right there. All a parent wants is for their child to achieve his/her highest potential, and March Academy is the special place where this happens.

The teachers at March Academy are truly passionate about the students. They go beyond their call of duty to ensure each kid learns at their own pace and within their own learning style. Since the attention kids receive is personalized, teachers get to know them so well and are able to customize their teaching styles to each kid's needs. Our daughter was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia and wasn't learning in the public school system and her self-esteem started to suffer too. Teachers at March Academy used different methods to help her to learn to read and boosting her self-esteem in return. Now she is a confident reader. Teachers at March Academy ensure kids are given the proper instructions in a way they understand and the tools to complete their tasks successfully, this in return has increased our kids' confidence. Since their time at March Academy they are more curious and look to challenge themselves when they have homework. March Academy has high academic standards and they request from the kids what they know they are capable of giving. They encourage quality work.

Our son came to March after seeing different educational and medical professionals, who were uncertain why he was having difficulty learning; they were unable to make a diagnosis. The teachers at March have many years of experience teaching children who face a variety of challenges and at times in more unusual combinations. They approached teaching our son as an individual, as opposed to a specific issue or diagnosis. My son has made incredible progress, compared to his prior 2 years in a public school and 1 year in a private school, during which we were paying for in class assistance for him. The teachers and administration at March have also partnered with us to ensure that as parents we are supporting our son effectively. The teachers have challenged our son and for the first time he is reaching learning goals and is being effectively intellectually stimulated.
