Go to child profilemindwerx4kids is designed with the belief that each person's combination of talents is distinctive. We provide an enriched curriculum with an individualized learning approach. Psychoeducational assessments help us understand our students, monitor skills and plan programs to optimize involvement. Curriculum, interactive technology, gym, arts, and fieldtrips make learning fun. Class sizes offer opportunities for participation, scaffolding and confidence so kids become lifelong independent learners.
Mindwerks4kids began as an early learning centre and has grown, largely in response to the desires and needs of its parent and student community. Today it offers the Ontario curriculum, though retains all of the attributes it was founded to offer, including individualised learning, student directed instruction, small class sizes, and a high level of interaction with the parent community. Families feel a part of the program, and indeed they are, with unceasing access to teachers and staff. Before and after care are plusses, as is the attention to assessment and reporting. The school offers a range of learning support for students across the learning spectrum.

Dear Families,
Mindwerx4kids Early Learning Center began in 2006 offering nursery school and kindergarten programs for children from 18 months to 6 years. The curriculum includes regular developmental and standardized assessment as well as programming that is individualized to meet each child’s unique profile provided by teachers in low ratio classrooms. We also offer before and after school care for parents who require it.
In September 2011, mindwerx4kids announced its expansion as a co-educational day school for children from Grades 1 through Grade 8. Our elementary school is registered as a private school by the Ministry of Education and has its own facilities at Humber Valley United Church at 76 Anglesey Blvd., (less than 5 minutes from our Bloor St. location by car). We are very happy with the large classroom space, access to gym, assembly hall and stage. There is ample outdoor space with a park space and skating rink within walking distance. We look forward to implementing some very interesting classes again this year with an enriched curriculum and an individualized programming approach.
In grades 1 through 8, child to teacher ratios remain at 7:1 or lower per classroom to facilitate our individual approach to learning. In addition to a stimulating curriculum that includes Literature and Language Arts, Mathematics, French, History, Geography, Science, Art, Drama and Music, teachers are available to scaffold new skills for children as they emerge, consolidate previous learning, and help build confidence. Standardized assessments and academic evaluations occur regularly to review and update each child’s program plan to optimize their development and maximize potential.
Mindwerx4kids Day School also encourages the development of the child’s distinct personality as well as the love of learning in its students. Participation and contribution in musical and dramatic productions, field trips, social groups and sports add creativity and fun to the lively atmosphere.
Please feel free to call us anytime if you wish to explore the possibilities of Mindwerx4kids Day School for your child. We would be delighted to discuss your child and the opportunities we offer. Thank you for your interest in Mindwerx4kids.
