SPIRE welcomes post graduate students to further train for their swimming careers and expand their academic and life skills while exploring and pursuing admission to the best colleges and universities.
Our post graduate swim experience features Olympic-grade facilities to help students in their athletic development, mental conditioning and continuing education while providing the training, competition and swimming skills they need to succeed in college.
SPIRE understands that sometimes students aren’t ready for college. They might also choose a post grad school because they haven’t gotten the college offer they wanted or because their technical skills need a little more development.
As a member of the post graduate family, athletes are challenged to bring their best to ensure success at the college level.
High School Graduates Enjoy the Benefits of SPIRE’s Post Grad Academy Continued Swim Training and Educational Opportunities
This has been a challenging year for young athletes around the world. Due to the pandemic, many athletes have missed the opportunities to train and compete enough to be noticed by college coaches.
Additionally, graduating seniors are not always ready physically, technically or competitively to excel at their desired level of sport. They may also be looking at spending a year living independently and continuing their academic studies to better prepare themselves for the transition to college life.
It’s important to remember that a post graduate year does not affect a student’s NCAA eligibility. SPIRE post grad students can also choose to take two courses for credit each semester at nearby Kent State-Ashtabula without affecting college eligibility.
Director of College Placement and Planning Jennifer Pruzinsky brings 15 years of work experience within the field of higher education, including the National Association for College Admission Counseling. She understands that choosing a college is an important and overwhelming time, and she is available to guide all SPIRE post grad swim students through this exciting journey.
