They handle situations quite appropriately and with kindness. There will be situations that come up, but the staff seems to always handle things really well. Always with a caring heart and with compassion. This school always takes the time to try and foster everyone’s opinion about whether to change a school logo or sharing a student’s birthday or staff ‘s birthday as well. If we have run into an issue we don’t hesitate to share our feelings with the principal and staff, they handle things with care and understanding.
The leadership and administration at OCS have been consistent and caring. The principal and teachers are easily accessible through phone calls and emails and always connect with parents when needed. When we have concerns, they are always addressed and followed up with. We have always felt that OCS is partnering with us as parents and helping to teach our kids to communicate well and take responsibility for their behavior. Because of their emphasis on Christian values and Biblical principles, our children are encouraged to share their point of view and to respect the other person's view as well. This combination of respect, accountability, and taking responsibility has prepared our child for high school and beyond.
OCS's leadership has a positive impact and delivers clear direction to the school community, especially recently as we have dealt with the pandemic. Administration works hard to communicate plans, and also seeks out feedback from parents to ensure that things are on track. As the curriculum needed to adapt to an online platform I was impressed with the school's agility to deliver, their ability to adjust based on feedback sought out by them, and most importantly with the quality of the curriculum itself. To date, the approach is similar for the return to school plans which is great.
