My child has loved his experience at CHS. He has a sense of belonging, and continues to grow in confidence. He appreciates the chapel program and the teachers who genuinely care about him as an individual.
This school is very fair in their discipline. Each case is looked at individually with the students well being taken into account. The leadership truly cares for each student and desires the best for them all.
I believe that my child is being pushed and taught appropriately. Communication could be more but I'm not too concerned. The teachers are wonderful.
This faith based school is highly appreciated by my husband and myself as well as our son attending. The culture of the school is rooted in faith and seeks Christ like action in how they interact with each other and students. While preparing our kids to have a firm foundation in their faith they do not let excellence in acedemics slide by the side. CHS pushes our kids to work hard and I believe sets them up for the next steps past high school.
This school has more extra curricular a than the average school, or at least it seems so with my kid. There never seems to be a moment where he is not involved in something school related :) These opportunities have allowed him to developed firm friendships as well as handle responsibly of team dynamics.
The student body at CHS is wonderful. Sure it has its ups and downs. Pods of close friends and groups but when push come to shove, this student body stands United and truly have each other a back. Sometimes I wonder if I'm living as a parent with my head in the sand but this student body genuinely appear to care about each other. Maybe it's the smaller size? But they really seem to all get along and accept everyone regardless of differences.
My child loves CHS. He has found a home at this school and looks forward to going to school. I'm honestly not sure what I would suggest for change.
Because much of the student body lives in residence and away from their families, I have not really found that the school provides a lot of parent involved events. However we are always welcome to cheer our kids on at games and pop in whenever we can. I have never been disappointed.
The school is a little bit of an island being located in small town Saskatchewan. However sport and our family life allows our child plenty of off campus access.
Admissions is probably my only complaint about the school :) and I'm not really bitter about it but there were far too many forms and endless hoops to go through. The process was a bit confusing and complex.
