Toronto, ON | Grades 7 - 12 | Shortlist
SMCS is centrally located near the heart of downtown Toronto and just steps away from a TTC subway and streetcar stop. It is also conveniently found within the Forest Hill community which has many nearby shops and cultural food offerings. The location of the school is in a prominent part of the City and has many amenities to enjoy.
Midtown Toronto location of the school made it easy for our boys to commute. It being nestled in the Forest Hill neighbourhood gives the campus a heritage feel, that complements the pre confederation birth and tradition. St Michael's College School has always been a landmark for my boys and I. Because of its location the school is easily accessible from all parts of the GTA.
Growing up in the York Mills/Bayview area, getting to school was never much of a challenge. I do know of many classmates that did commute though from all reaches of the GTA - Woodbridge, Whitby, Keswick, King City etc, as that was the draw of St. Michael's. It is a great location, and given the infrastructure around it, will only serve to improve as things continue to evolve.
St. Michael's College School facilities have a rich history, they are beautiful, welcoming, clean, and well maintained. Many parts of the building have been renovated over the years, with state-of-the-art theatre, computer science, biology, chemistry, physics, and media arts labs. The school is not only famous for its sports, as one-third of the student body also participates in the music, drama & theatre program. St. Mike's program encourages the boys to build & support the local community, by giving their time to local organizations.
