I remember how I used to think about the possibility of studying abroad as a distant fantasy. I never thought I was able to leave my home country (Colombia) but today, a year after having made the decision, I am completely sure that it was the best option.
My name is Mariana Correa, I am 18 years old and I study at UMC (Upper Madison College). I have been living in Canada and studying at UMC for a year now and to be honest, this has been one of the best experiences of my life. This school has not only contributed greatly to my intellectual development, but has also allowed me to become a more mature, responsible and open person.
UMC is the perfect opportunity to learn and / or improve your English with teachers who are always willing to contribute to your learning process.
There is one particular aspect about this school that catches my attention: UMC reflects the values of Canada since it is a multicultural school where the entire student population is made up of immigrants from Asia, Europe and Latin America. It is amazing how such different people can be in the same space and learn from each other in a friendly way.
I am completely grateful to UMC for allowing me to meet so many different cultures without having to move from the place where I study (it is like taking a plane and traveling to the different continents of the world in just seconds), for allowing me to make new friends and grow emotionally and intellectually.
For all those who are thinking of studying abroad, UMC is the best option.
