What aspect of your school is underappreciated?
"The faculty and staff at Albert College truly care about each and every student. The boarding staff treat our boarding students like their very own children. We truly are a family that studies, plays and grows together. The connections that students make at Albert College, with the staff and with their fellow classmates from around the world are truly unique and shapes them into confident global citizens. Albert College students create friendships that lasts a lifetime."
What might families find surprising about your school?
"Albert College is steeped in history and tradition. Founded in 1857, Albert College celebrates its history through traditional events, songs and customs that have been celebrated for decades. From our 100 year old building to the beautiful and historic Memorial Chapel. And our traditional Candlelight Carol Service at Christmas, the Albert College hymn, and orientation camp in the fall where the whole school goes camping together. There are many Albert College traditions that make us who we are."
The Albert College campus is sporting fields and outdoor tennis courts.
The school gymnasium hosts basketball and volleyball games and practices and house league game days.
Our campus is equipped with two fitness centres with free weights and cardio equipment.
Arts facilities
Students in Pre-K to Grade 12 are offered large scale performance opportunities. The Junior School has the flexibility to show performances in the Great Hall or Gymnasium.
Senior School performances usually take place in the Memorial Chapel, which has seating for more than 200 people, including the balcony.
Smaller scale performances also take place in the Memorial Chapel, though Ackerman Hall boosts a smaller stage which is often used fby students for Coffee Houses and Open Mic nights.
Campus
There are three buildings located on our campus, the Middle/Senior School, the Junior School and the Early Primary Learning Centre (EPLC).
Albert College lies on 25 acres in beautiful Belleville, Ontario, Canada. There are three buildings located on campus, the Middle/Senior School, the Junior School and the Early Primary Learning Centre (EPLC).
With over 25 acres, students have access to plenty of green space.
Classrooms
Our students enjoy small class sizes and individualized attention.
Our classrooms have state of the art technology, collaborative work spaces, flexible seating arrangements and standing desks.
At Albert College we believe a collaborative learning environment offers our students endless opportunities to engage with one another and to further develop their learning skills.
Residences
Both the boys and girls residences are equipped with common areas, a small kitchen, tables and chairs for seating.
The boys and girls residences offer spacious bedrooms and washrooms and showers located on each floor.
Baker House residence is home to boys in Grades 7-10 where Graham Hall houses boys in Grades 11 and 12.
Science facilities
Through extensive counselling and full-year academic-level courses, we strive to develop an academic program suited to each student, one that will challenge and enable students to achieve ambitious post-secondary goals.
Our science lab is accessible to students in Grades 7-12.
Our Senior School science programs offers our students the opportunity to study Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Instructional resources
All of our students in Grades 3 to 6 have access to Chrome books.
All of our Middle and Senior School classrooms have access to state of the art technology; Wi-Fi and smart boards.
All of our Junior School classrooms have access to state of the art technology; Wi-Fi, smart boards and iPads available to each student.
Shared spaces
Ackerman Hall is where students enjoy nutritious snacks and meals daily. Styled after the tradition of a Georgian banquet room and furnished with the original oaken tables, Ackerman Hall can accommodate over 200 people and is often used a gathering space for celebrations and traditions
The Resource Centre is our library, but also a hub for innovation. This shared space houses our makers space after school program, 3-D print centre, conference room and spacious area for hosting workshops and screening films and documentaries.
The Memorial Chapel is where students and faculty gather for traditional services, musical and theatrical performances and guest lectures. In addition, the chapel is utilized daily as a practice space for choir and for regular use for morning announcements.

Albert College is a wonderful day and international co-educational boarding school, steeped in history and tradition. Not only does it have a stellar reputation for preparing young people for university and for life, but Albert College is also recognized for developing global citizens within a close family environment. The international makeup of Albert College helps foster understanding and tolerance. As technological advances continue to make our world truly a global village, what better environment could there be in which to prepare students for the world that awaits them?
