This week is targeted to a younger actor and audience, inspired by the performance elements of Pantomime, with a big focus on vocal control and character skills. Campers will enjoy a week of theatrical training while becoming more confident creating and rehearsing for a musical theatre performance.
Children will be introduced to what it takes to put on a show including acting, singing, dancing, costumes, props, lighting, sound, publicity, and stage makeup. In the Ashbury Theatre, children will have the opportunity to collaborate in the space while they improve their skills such as voice projection, stage presence, character development, leadership, and much more. Children will be instructed by Ashbury Drama teachers with experience directing large scale productions. The camp culminates in a musical performance live on stage for family and friends on the final day of camp.
Lunch is included for all summer camp registrations. Our dining room provides healthy and delicious meals with a variety of choices. Special dietary needs are supported by our Food Services team.
