This program is designed to build the following character traits:

  • Curiosity: Evergreen's Nature School program is deeply rooted in inquiry-based learning. Our staff encourage program participants on learning about the natural world through questions, open-dialogue and curiosity within a safe space.
  • Physicality: Evergreen's Nature School is an immersive outdoor play-based experiential program across all seasons. We encourage program participants to play as safe as necessary versus safe as possible! Participants develop confidence skills in embracing strategies allowing greater freedom to explore the world.

Rooted in a forest & nature school-inspired approach, with a dedication to learning outdoors, Evergreen's Nature School is a seasonal immersive outdoor play-based program designed for children ages 6-10.

This program is deeply rooted in inquiry-based learning. Sessions feature outdoor activities such as exploring the urban wild, shelter building, fire-based programming, tool use and process-driven arts with natural materials; wood, fibers and clay. Storytelling, games, and music round out a learning experience designed to inspire young learners and encourage curiosity, confidence and community.

We welcome children ages 6-10 to the Brick Works to experience camp activities year-round at Evergreen's Nature School!

Programs are full days (8:45am-3:30pm)

Daily Schedule: 

8:45AM-9AM: Arrival 
9AM-9:15AM: Opening Circle and Welcome 
9:15AM-12:00PM: Morning Activity Block
12PM-12:30PM: Lunch 
12:30PM-3:15PM: Afternoon Activity Block
3:15PM-3:30PM: Departure
