Last year's Winter Week, which ran from December 28th right up to January 1st, was a fantastic success! Almost all our campers were familiar faces, back again to hang out with their summer friends, but not everyone. Campers tried out a number of different activities from the summer, including new music and fantasy role-playing sessions. The campfire story was about two children, Child McCool and Kid McCool, that had to race to prevent the space wizard from stealing all the cold weather.
On the evening of Thursday December 31st, we held a New Year's Eve party for campers, their siblings, parents, guardians, and anyone else in their [email protected] households. The fashion show was stunning and daring, the campfire segment was intriguing with nail-biting suspense, and we topped it all off with a great dance party. At the very end, campers shared some of the thinks they were grateful for during 2020.
What more exciting way to kick off the new year than a game of mafia? On Friday campers turned on each other, desperate to figure out who was just a civilian and who was part of a secret league, kicking people out of town. Eventually, the mafia won! After that, it was the final installment of our campfire story, one last cabin time, and we sent each other off into the new year, ready to face whatever may come.
