Are you ready to take on the ultimate challenge?

Spend three weeks hiking up steep mountain peaks and through lush alpine valleys. As you step out of your comfort zone to overcome physical, mental, and emotional challenges, you will be supported by your instructors and cheered on by your teammates. The memories and skills from this incredible adventure are sure to stay with you forever.

If you choose to use the course toward a high school credit, the course work will be done through activities, group discussions and analysis, and daily journal reflections.

AREA & ACTIVITIES

This 21-day adventure will provide you with ample time to explore the stunning Rocky Mountain range of Treaty 7 Land; the traditional territories of Niitsitapi (the Siksika, Piikani, Kainai), the Îyârhe Nakoda, and Tsuut’ina Nations, as well as the traditional unceded territory of the Ktunaxa Nation and Métis Region 3.

The course begins with getting to know your team members and an introduction to backcountry living. Experienced instructors will teach you everything you need to know for your adventure, including how to pack an expedition backpack, stove use, shelter building, personal hygiene, minimal impact camping, and how to travel over various terrain both on and off-trail. By the end of the course, you will make decisions with minimal input from instructors.
