This course enables students to explore the benefits of lifelong participation in active recreation and healthy leisure and develop the leadership and coordinating skills needed to plan, organize, and safely implement recreational events and other activities related to healthy, active living.
Students will:
Students will engage as volunteers at the Canadian Summer Games in a variety of capacities, explore their leadership in our Summer Camp setting, become certified in Standard First Aid and CPR C, as well as complete their NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) Introduction to Sport qualification (formerly known as NCCP-Level 1).
Successful completion of the course will gain the students these certificates as well as their PLF4M credit towards their OSSD.
Programme Dates: August 1st – August 26th, 2022
Age 16+
Day students: $975/course (Cost inclusive of CPR Training and Course Material required for NCCP)
Boarding students: $6,575/course (Cost inclusive of Room and Board, CPR Training and Course Material required for NCCP)
