Comments from parents
It's very interesting and very informative — we got a lot of info we never knew about," says Nadia C who came with her husband and son, Dibonte, 10. She also likes that the event was well-organized and wasn't overly crowded. The family found out about the event through the flyer. She also says they appreciate how the camps spoke to their son more than to them to find out what kind of camp he wants to attend.
"I found the Camp Expo very helpful," says Wendy T who brought her sons, aged 12 and three, to the event. The family has narrowed down a few overnight summer camps for her older son. Tsugawa wants her children to have the "best experience" she had when she went to camp as a child. She found out about the expo through BreakfastTelevision, which featured an interview with Our Kids Media managing editor Agnes Stawicki.
"it's great — and the animals put a nice touch so it was really interactive for the kids and the booths were helpful," says Alice C, as she watched her child pet the bunny and snake at the expo. She found out about the expo through a flyer distributed at her child's school.
