Industry 4.0 describes the digitization of the manufacturing sector and encompasses a range of emerging technologies forming the fourth industrial revolution.

This summer V4Lab participants will design the City of the Future using digital modelling for augmented and virtual reality which will merge with a physical model and autonomous robot vehicles created with Arduino based robot kits. The final group model will be showcased to the public after the camp is over and participants will be able to keep their autonomous vehicle after the display closes. Keep checking our website in the new year for more information and a detailed schedule.

The workshops will be paired with discussions on technologies, disruptive innovations, research, and artists at Ryerson University to help participants to dream of their future and contribution in Industry 4.0 and beyond.

Join us and learn what you need to prepare for this new era.

Who?

This workshop is designed for middle and high-school students aged 12-16 years old (grades 6-10) with an interest in design, technology, art, science, and engineering.

Why?

Canada’s knowledge-based economy is continuing to grow, requiring youth to be well versed in all types of digital tools and technologies. This new economy requires new literacies than previous generations including critical and design thinking, numeracy, and communication skills. This intensive 2-week workshop gives students an opportunity to engage with these technologies and develop these skills in a post-secondary environment.
