(5) Student Experience
Our daughter has been attending Alderwood Academy since the school’s establishment, and our experience has been truly exceptional. The teachers are wonderful people: dedicated, caring, and deeply committed to each child’s development. The school offers a rich curriculum based on the Montessori philosophy, where children learn through hands-on experiences, exploration, and play. This approach not only makes learning enjoyable but also helps children truly understand and retain knowledge. Alderwood Academy does an excellent job of shaping confident, independent and young individuals. The school has a family atmosphere, and all children feel safe. An additional advantage of the school organized field trips to interesting places. We highly recommend this school to any parents looking for the best school for their children.
Why Alderwood Academy?
The teachers are wonderful! The school has an interesting and rich teaching program (including cooking classes, music classes, dance classes, mindfulness classes, French classes, etc.) The smaller class sizes and family atmosphere made the decision easier, as well!
Expectations vs. Reality
Alderwood Academy met our expectations in every aspect, from teaching to nurturing and caring for our child's well-being. Every day, our daughter comes back home happy.
Your Advice
If you want to find a school for your child that will keep them safe, happy, and help them discover the world, there is no better school than this one.
(5) School Leadership
Communication is excellent. All matters related to school life are communicated to parents on an ongoing basis. If any problem arises, it is resolved immediately.
(5) Teaching
The quality of teaching is very high. The teachers who create this place are passionate individuals. They can excellently convey their knowledge to both younger and older children.
(5) Academics
The school curriculum is very rich. In addition to core subjects, children learn across many areas. Through physical activities such as dance, learning foreign languages, and even activities like cooking, they develop a wide range of skills. The values the school promotes are aligned with what we, as parents, would want for our child.
