Parents have a good measure of involvement at the school and community building activities are encouraged by the school.
The broader community has been wonderful to me as an alumnus - I have gone back to visit teachers and still see some at community events to this day! I was also invited back to participate in the school's 30th anniversary gala, and have kept in touch with a couple of friends. The administration has been wonderful not only in staying in touch over the years, but also in supporting alumni career endeavours, spreading news via social media, etc. I feel lucky to still be a part of the BHMS community at large!
Parents are heavily involved in school life; I remember my parents and even grandparents coming to visit my classroom often and coming for the annual grandparents tea in the gymnasium. There were also other opportunities for parents to be involved; my mother always baked cakes for the staff and my father was the videographer for all of our school plays and performances. The alumni network is very strong, I still keep in contact with a few classmates and am always invited to the annual alumni barbecue in June.
The school was very open to parent's input and involvement
