(5) Student Experience

As a mother, one of my biggest concerns has always been how much time children spend on screens instead of enjoying real activities and friendships. What impressed me most about Montessori, besides its structured education and focus on independence and responsibility, was how it introduced my son to fun group games and activities. He became so excited about them that he willingly chose playing with his friends and brother over screen time, cartoons, and video games. He even taught those games to me, so we can now play them together at home as a family. I truly appreciate all the Montessori staff for creating such a safe, caring, and enriching environment where I can leave my child every morning with complete peace of mind.

Why Gatehouse Montessori School?

Montessori had many of the qualities I always imagined in an ideal school for my child. Most importantly, they truly care about each individual child. The environment is calm, supportive, and offers a high level of education. They also focus greatly on life skills, including responsibility, critical thinking, group activities, and teamwork. Alongside subjects like math, geography, science, and more, they teach children valuable lessons about life itself. That is why I feel completely at peace and confident having my child there.

Expectations vs. Reality

Honestly, I am a very careful and selective mother when it comes to choosing a place for my child. I usually consider many different factors, and I can say this school meets most of my expectations. The only thing that personally concerns me about my own child is his eating habits. He does not eat very well there, although I am not sure how closely the children’s eating is monitored or guided. I also assume that, in a school that pays so much attention to children’s development, they probably do provide guidance in this area as well. If they also continue helping children understand healthy eating habits and the importance of giving their bodies all the nutrition they need, that would make the experience even better. Other than that, I truly have almost no concerns at all.

Your Advice

Montessori teaches children about life itself. You can trust it. At first, you may feel a little worried when leaving your child there, or feel that the environment is very structured and disciplined. But over time, you will gradually see its positive impact on your child; at home, outside, and in many aspects of life.
