(5) Student Experience
Our girls enjoy the small class sizes and attention that they receive from the teachers. All of the staff know them by name and always have a smile for them when greeting them. They feel included and important at Dawncrest when the teachers and principal greet them every day and provide them with opportunities to challenge themselves both academically and socially. Our expectations have been exceeded. As a small school there can be unique challenges - such as sport teams - but we feel that the school has done a great job of providing clubs, afterschool programs to encourage school spirit and involvement. It is very obvious that the owner and staff have a strong sense of community and work hard to foster this environment.
Why Dawncrest Academy?
We chose Dawncrest for the small class sizes and the opportunity for more one-on-one learning support. We are grateful that our expectations have been exceeded.

Your Advice
One of the challenges of a small school is a limited friend circle at school, which can be difficult if any social problems arise. We have been fortunate that this has not been a material issue, as all the kids are friendly and the teachers are supportive of an inclusive environment. We have also considered that extracurricular activities can help balance the social needs of our girls. We do recommend Dawncrest and have said on multiple occasions, "How many schools does the principal know you by name and personally welcome you each day?" That in itself is pretty unique, and we are grateful to be a part of the Dawncrest Community.
